SF Portservice and Nordic Port Services offer their services for mooring and unmooring of vessels at Port of Helsinki harbours.
The mooring and unmooring of liner traffic is taken care of in accordance with confirmed schedules and for international cruise ships in accordance with notifications submitted through ship agents.
In winter 2016–2017 Finland’s first automatic vessel mooring system will come into use at berth LJ7 at West Harbour. The system comprises six MoorMaster units, which utilise suction to pull the side of the boat towards the quay’s fenders, with the help of vacuum panels. The system will speed up the mooring and unmooring of vessels. The new system will also reduce vessels’ fuel consumption and air emissions.
Similar mooring system came to use at berth LJ8 in summer 2021.
