Often, midweek holidays are a popular time for travel, in addition to weekends. This will also be the case this year on Thursday 26 May, Ascension Day. According to advance information, the vessels departing from the West Harbour in Helsinki will have plenty of passengers from Wednesday to Sunday this week, 25 to 29 May, which may lead to congestions.
The Port of Helsinki would like to remind everyone travelling by car that many other passengers have also chosen to arrive by car. This may result in traffic congestions when arriving at the harbour. To relieve the situation, the Port of Helsinki has arranged traffic control staff for the West Harbour.
We would like to ask that passengers arrive at the harbour well in advance.
