
The new city bike season will start on 1 April and it will run until the end of October. city bikes are easy-to-use and environmentally sustainable way of exploring the city also for the passengers especially as there are bike stations close to every terminal.
Tourists visiting Helsinki this summer will be delighted to find out that in addition to traditional public transport services and taxis, they can once again make use of the city’s shared-use city bikes.
You can buy City bike passes for the whole season, month, week or day. You can buy passes for city bikes in Helsinki and Espoo on the city bike website. You can already buy a pass for the entire city bike season. Other passes will be available when the season starts.
You can use the city bikes in Helsinki and Espoo in the same way as in previous years. You need an HSL account to register. You can register at hsl.fi/en/citybikes.
You can see the operational stations on the city bike website and on the Journey Planner. On the Journey Planner, you need to enable location services to see the closest bike stations, number of bikes available and the route to the station. You can obtain the same information by entering your address in the Journey Planner. You can access the Journey Planner with the HSL app and at hsl.fi.
In Helsinki, the Metropolitan Area Transport Ltd is responsible for the service. The service is run by CityBike Finland. HSL is responsible for marketing, digital services and customer accounts. Clear Channel Finland Ltd is responsible for the advertising media and partnerships related to the project.
