Sea Wind Operates Between Vuosaari and Tallinn
The cargo vessel Sea Wind started to operate on the route between Helsinki and Tallinn on 8 January. The ship will operate under the Estonian flag and with Estonian crew. Until now, the ship has operated on the route between Turku and Stockholm.
The one-way trip lasts for 3.5 hours. The ship will run two return trips on every weekday. Departures from Tallinn take place at 6.30 am and 5.30 pm and from Vuosaari at 12 noon and 11 pm. The ship will not operate on Saturdays. On Sundays, it will depart from Tallinn at 5.30 pm and from Vuosaari at 11 pm.
Sea Wind can take 119 passengers and has 98 cabins. The car deck has approximately 850 lanemetres of loading space. The vessel was constructed in 1972, renovated in 1984 and 1989, and its ice class is 1B.
